Numbers Chapter 9

Omnipotent- You can do anything.  You put it into their hearts to follow You.  You put the knowledge in their hearts and in their minds.  You put it into my heart and in my mind.  You give me knowledge about You and Your heavenly throne.  You are the cloud.  You have them remain camped and You have them set out.  You lead them.  You lead me.  You can’t just come and go.  You won’t let me fall.  That is trust.  You are all-powerful.

Longsuffering – You are patient with the sons of Israel and with me and You are slow to anger.

Just – You punish the guilty, cover sin, and reward the righteous.

Righteous – You are always right.  You teach the right way.  The dedication offering for the altar is the right way.

Loving – You love the sons of Israel and take care of them.  You love me and You take care of me and give me what I need.

Good – You give a part of Yourself to the sons of Israel and to me.  You give Your Word who teaches me about You.  Everything must be holy because You are holy.

Wise – Your wisdom causes You to do the things You do to give me information about You. What is the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed?  What does it mean?  How does it relate to me?  The testing of my faith produces endurance.

Truthful – What You say is always truth.  Accept these things from the, that they may be used in the service of the tent of meeting, and you shall give them to the Levites, to each man according to his service.  Let them present their offering, one leader each day, for the dedication of the altar.  You speak the reality.

Numbers Chapter 6 The Law of the Nazirite

Eternal – You are the cause of time.  You cause all the days of his vow of separation and until the days are fulfilled.  You cause the day when he becomes clean.  You are the seventh day and the eighth day.  You are that same day she shall consecrate his head.  You are all his days.  You are all of my days.  You are forever. You are time.

Immutable – You do not change.  According to his vow, which he takes, he shall do according to the law of separation.  Aaron and his sons shall invoke Your name on the sons of Israel, and You then will bless them.  You will never be made to change.

Self – Existent – You exist by Yourself.  You will exist even when the sons of Israel do not.  You decide.  You make-up Your creation’s existences.  You make up the sons of Israel’s existence.  You make up the Nazirite’s existence.  You make up the law of the Nazirite.  You make up my existence.  You make up Your Word’s existence.  But why?

Self-Sufficient – You do not need any of Your creation to bring about Your will or Your purpose.  You choose to use the sons of Israel and the Nazirite and the law of the Nazirite because it is Your good pleasure, not Your need, that governs Your choice.  But why?

Leviticus Chapter 27

Transcendent – You are apart from Your creation.  You teach the valuations and what is holy.  Once I separate something for Your purpose it is holy and if I substitute something in its place then both are holy.  Am I a priest?  Or isn’t Jesus THE HIGH Priest?  Doesn’t He do the valuations?  The priest shall value him?

Priest – Gen 14:18; Ex 19:6; Lev 1:5; Lev 4:3; 2 Chr 15:3; Ps 110:4; Matt 2:4; Matt 8:4; Heb 2:17; Heb 4:14; Heb 5:6

And Melchizedek King of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High.

…and I shall be to You a kingdom of priests and a holy nation?  Is this talking about me?  Am I part of the sons of Israel?  But all of Israel were not priests were they?  Only one family – The Levites were priests.  Now only one family – Jesus Only One High Priest?

…And he shall slay the young bull before the LORD; and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall offer up the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the doorway of the tent of meeting.

…if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer to the LORD a bull without defect as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.

Heb 4:14; Heb 5:6-10 (cont. from above)

…And for many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.  The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, Thou art a priest forever according to the order o Melchizedek.  This speaks only of Jesus.

…Jesus had to be made like His brethren in all things, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

High Priest – Heb 3:1; 6:20; 7:26, 28; 8:1, 3; 9:11; 10:21

Jesus the Son of God is my great high priest.  Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.

It is Jesus who sets my value.  What is the value of a man?  What is the value of Jesus compared to the value of Judas?  Or compared to me?  Or compared to Tony?  I have less value because I am a woman.

Sovereign – You figure out the value.  You consecrate what is holy.  You commanded Moses for the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai.  You command Jesus for me at Your heavenly Mount Sinai.  You are in complete control and You are doing Your foreknown plan!

Leviticus Chapter 24

Incomprehensible – What does vs. 2 and 3 mean?  ‘From evening to morning’ is all night – ‘before You continually?’ ‘It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations?’ How long is that?  What about today?  Is it that long?  But no my generations?  What does light and 12 cakes mean?  Why is gold italicized?  What do I need to do?  Why is vs. 10-16 with a lamp to burn continually and the bread of the Presence?  The lamp and bread represent Jesus.  Is this all about Jesus?  The WORD OF God?  Moses and Jesus the same?  Moses did not act; he waited for Your command.  Jesus waits for Your command?  Why do You end this Chapter with vs. 17-23?  What about mercy, and compassion, and forgiveness?

Why do You kill the person who blasphemes Your name?  I blaspheme Your name upon my bed every time and yet I am not dead.  Here I am right now blaspheming You.  Why do You have the congregation lay their hands on the man and then they stone him with stones to death until he dies?  Yet You say love Your neighbor as Yourself.  Yet You say no man shall kill another human being?  Why is that okay?  It is a horrible way to die.  Why is that okay?  Why is killing someone okay when you have commanded it?  What is the difference?

Are You forcing people to worship You?  Do You have to put fear into them?  My LORD, why am I not dead?

Why do I feel this way?  I must lack faith My LORD It is not in my heart.  I am trying…
