Omniscient – You know everything. You know how to anoint and consecrate the tabernacle and the altar. You know which altar. You know what the twelve leaders will bring. You know it says the same thing twelve times. You know me. You know my heart. You know my dreams and my fears. You are all knowing.
Omnipotent- You can do anything. You put it into each of the leader’s heart to donate so much. Two carts and four oxen You gave to the sons of Gershon, according to their service, and four carts and eight oxen You gave to the sons of Merari, according to their service. You put it into the sons of Kohath’s heart to carry the holy objects on their shoulder. You can make me understand and know if You just wanted to. You are all-powerful.
Omnipresent – You are everywhere. You are in the midst of the sons of Israel. You are here with me. You are in my heart and in my mind. You are in Your Word and in Your Son. You are all-present.
Eternal – You are the cause of time. You are twelve days. You are centuries. You are now and forever. You are time.
Immutable – You do not change. Moses took the carts and the oxen, and gave them to the Levites. The leaders offered their offering before the altar. Now when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with You, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim, so You spoke to him. You will never be made to change.
Self – Existent – You exist by Yourself. You will exist even when the sons of Israel do not. You choose. You decide. You make up the sons of Israel’s existence. You make up the leaders’ existence. You make up the dedication offering for the altar. You make up my existence.
Self-Sufficient – You do not need any of Your creation to bring about Your will or Your purpose. You choose to use the twelve leaders, twelve tribes, the dedication offering, and me because it is Your good pleasure, not Your need, that governs Your choice.
Infinite – There are no limits or bounds to Your person or dominion. There are no limits to Your days or Your dedication offering or what You will do.
Transcendent – You are apart from Your creation. You teach me about You. You love the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed. In twelve days there were twelve silver dishes, twelve silver bowls, twelve gold pans, each silver dish weighing 130 shekels and each bowl 70; all the silver of the utensils was 2,400 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; the twelve gold pans, full of incense, weighing 10 shekels apiece, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, all the gold of the pans 120 shekels; all the oxen for the burnt offering twelve bulls, all the rams twelve, the male lambs one year old with their grain offering twelve, and the male goats for a sin offering twelve; and all the oxen for the sacrifice of peace offerings 24 bulls, all the rams 60, the male goats 60, the male lambs one year old 60. This was the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed. In twelve days by twelve leaders.
Dedication – Feast of Dedication – John 10:22
· Dedicate – Ex. 32:24; Judge 17:3; 1 Kin 7:51; 1 Chr. 18:11; 1 Chr. 26:27; 2 Chr. 2:4
· Is this time with You dedication to You?
Baptism – Rom 6:4; Eph 4:5; Col 2:12
· What am I looking for?
Sovereign – It is You who anoints and consecrates the tabernacle and the altar. It is You who uses the offerings for Your purpose. It is You the sons of Israel and I worship. You are in complete control and You are doing Your foreknown plan!
Holy – You are a morally excellent, perfect being. You separate Your dedication offerings for the altar for Your purpose.
Gracious – You show Your favor giving the offerings to the Levites for their service to You. You show Your favor by speaking to Moses and to Jesus.
Merciful – You show Your compassion by giving offerings. The entire congregation has ownership in the altar. Without their offerings there would not be anything for the altar.
Longsuffering – You are patient with the sons of Israel and with me and You are slow to anger.
Just – You punish the guilty, cover sin, and reward the righteous.
Righteous – You are always right. You teach the right way. The dedication offering for the altar is the right way.
Loving – You love the sons of Israel and take care of them. You love me and You take care of me and give me what I need.
Good – You give a part of Yourself to the sons of Israel and to me. You give Your Word who teaches me about You. Everything must be holy because You are holy.
Wise – Your wisdom causes You to do the things You do to give me information about You. What is the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed? What does it mean? How does it relate to me? The testing of my faith produces endurance.
Truthful – What You say is always truth. Accept these things from the, that they may be used in the service of the tent of meeting, and you shall give them to the Levites, to each man according to his service. Let them present their offering, one leader each day, for the dedication of the altar. You speak the reality.
Faithful – You always do what You promise. You spoke to Moses and You speak to Jesus above the mercy seat that is on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim.
Wrathful – You will destroy all unrighteousness.
Jealous – You will not share Moses or Jesus or the sons of Israel or Your altar who are rightly and morally Yours with any other creature.
Incomprehensible – The first day, Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah is part of Jesus’ linage. Why do You repeat each day for each leader twelve times? Verse 27, Jesus is the Lamb of God’ ‘but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
· Twelve gold pans, one each, full of incense – incense are prayer. Gold pans full of prayers. Vs. 33, ‘so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. Why ins Vs. 36 does it change to ‘the children of Simeon’?’
· Why is this Your law? Why do You ask for them, if You do not need them or even like them?
· In vs. 36, and Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on the gold pans; he shall burn it every morning when he trims the lamps. The angels burn prayers in the gold pans every morning.
· IS THE WORD the sacrifice of peace offerings? Is prayers? JESUS THE WORD was sacrificed and resurrected. THE WORD is living.
· The golden bowls of incense, which are the prayers of the saints…much incense that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
May my prayer be counted as incense before Thee, the lifting up of my hands as the evening offering.
