Leviticus Chapter 21

Omniscient – You know everything.  You know what to say to Moses.  You know what to have Moses say to the sons of Aaron.  You know what to have Your Word and Your Spirit say to me that I may understand.  You know all of these things happen.  You know these conditions.  You know who and why.  You are all-knowing.

Omnipotent- You can do anything.  You make a man have seminal emissions and You make defects.  You make a woman who is married and not a virgin anymore and defiled.  You make me defiled.  You decide who is clean and unclean.  You decide who is defiled and profane.  You are all-powerful.

Omnipresent – You are everywhere.  You are in the midst of the sons of Aaron and You are in their hearts.  You are with me and You are in my heart.  You are all-present.

Eternal – You are the cause of time.  You are forever.  You are days and years and centuries.  You are time.

Immutable – You do not change. A priest will not defile himself as a relative by marriage among his people, and so profane himself.  They shall be holy.  Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel. You will never be made to change.

Infinite – There are no limits or bounds to Your person or dominion.  You are forever and ever and throughout generations.

Transcendent – You are apart from Your creation.  You teach the sons of Israel about Yourself.  You teach the sons of Aaron Your higher standard to be models for Israel.  More is expected of them.  They teach Israel the laws and ordinances You gave Moses.

I am learning the truth.  It is being written on my heart and in my mind.  You are sanctifying me with Your Word.  How do I remember all of these things?

Sovereign – You give Your laws and ordinances and statutes.  They shall be holy to You and not profane Your name.  You are teaching the priests what not to do.  You who sanctifies me are holy.  You are Jehovah.  Moses says everything You speak.  I will not profane Your sanctuaries.  For You are Jehovah who sanctifies me.  It is You I am worshiping.  You are in complete control and You are doing Your foreknown plan!

Holy – You are a morally excellent, perfect being.  You sanctify me through Your Word by knowing truth.

Gracious – You show me Your favor by being with me and helping me with school and with my family and house and everything that burdens me.

Merciful – You show me compassion by giving me what I need to reach a higher good.  You give me a higher standard just as You gave the priests a higher standard.  I have to be a good model.

Righteous – You are always right.  You teach the right way.

Longsuffering – You are patient with me and slow to anger.

Just – You punish the guilty, cover guilt, and reward the righteous.

Loving – You love me and You want me to grow and be in a better place and to be accepted before You.

Good – You sanctify me by Your truth through Your Word.  I trust You My LORD.

Wise – Your wisdom causes You to do the things You do in order to give information about Yourself.

Truthful – What You say is always truth.  You sanctify who You want.

Faithful – You always do what You promise.  They are Your people and You are their God.  You are my God.  I am Yours.

Wrathful – You will destroy all unrighteousness.

Jealous – You will not share the sons of Aaron or me, who are rightly and morally Yours, with any other creature.

Self – Existent – You exist by Yourself.  You do not need any of Your creation to exist.  It is Your creation that needs You to exist for our existence.  You make the sons of Aaron to exist.  You make Your laws and ordinances and Your standard.

Self-Sufficient – You do not need any of Your creation to bring about Your will or Your purpose.  You choose to use       the sons of Aaron and Your laws and Your ordinances because it is Your good pleasure, not Your need, that governs Your choice.

Incomprehensible – You give Your standards for the priests – regarding dead persons, marriage, and defects.  What is the bread?  Jesus’ body sacrifice.  Who sanctifies You.  Who sanctifies me?  You Jehovah sanctifiers me.  What does it mean ‘for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is on him’ mean?  What does defiled mean to me?  Am I not always defiled?  What does profane mean to me?  As soon as I step out of Your sanctuary into the world I am profaned and I profane You.

You make defects.  You make a blind man, a lame man, a man who has a disfigured face, and deformed limbs.  Why does this matter?  How does this chapter relate to me?  What am I supposed to learn?  I am trying to listen.
