Omniscient – You know what this chapter is about. You know my abilities. You know what I am capable of. You know me. You know my heart. You know my mind. You know I want to know know You. I want to understand. You know everything. You are all-knowing.
Omnipotent- You can do anything. You can stop the prophet and the dreamer of dreams if You wanted to. You make me understand if You just wanted to. You are all-powerful.
Omnipresent – You are everywhere. You are in the land of Egypt. You are in the mist of Israel. You are here with me. You are in my heart. You are all-present.
Eternal – You are the cause of time. You are today. You are the past and the future. You are forever and ever. You are time.
Immutable – You do not change. Israel shall (I shall?) purge the evil from among them (me?). Israel shall (I shall?) stone their (my?) brother, their (my?) mother’s sons, or their (my?) son or daughter o the wife they (I?) cherish, or their (my?) friend who is of their (my?) own soul, to death because he sought to seduce them (me) away from You my God. You will never be made to change.
Self – Existent – You exist by Yourself. You will exist even when Your creation does not. You choose. You decide. You make up the prophet and the dreamer of dreams existence. You make up Your commandments existence. You make up Your Words’ existence. You make up my existence. You choose Your people. You decide who lives and who dies. It is Your creation who needs You in order to exist.
Self-Sufficient – You do not need any of Your creation to bring about Your will or Your purpose. You choose to use Your WORD and me because it is Your good pleasure, not Your need, that governs Your choice.
Infinite – There are no limits or bounds to Your person or dominion. The city shall be a ruin forever. You had sworn their fathers past. You are limitless.
Transcendent – You are apart from Your creation. You teach me about Yourself and Your heavenly throne. You teach me about Your jealousness and Your wrathfulness, but also about Your Sovereignty. You are testing Israel and me to find out if they and I love You My God with all my heart and with all my soul. Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and will never again do such a wicked thing among them or me. You teach me how You may turn from Your burning anger and show mercy to me, and have compassion on me. Thank You My LORD.
Sovereign – It is You who makes it rain. It is You Israel worships. It is You I worship. You My God are testing me to find out if I love You My God with all my heart and with all my soul. You teach me about Yourself and give me Your commandments. You are in complete control and You are doing Your foreknown plan!
Holy – You are a morally excellent, perfect being. You separate Israel for Your purpose. You separate me through Your truth by Your Son for Your purpose. You separate those who love You from those who hate You.
Gracious – You show Your people Your favor by giving us Your rainbow and Your rain. You put to death those who rebel against You and bless those who are doing what is right in the sight of You My God.
Merciful – You show Your people Your compassion by not testing them beyond what they can handle. You give them a way out. Nothing from that which is put under the ban shall cling to my hand, in order that You may turn from Your burning anger and show mercy to me, and have compassion me me and make me multiply.
Longsuffering - You are patient with Israel and with me and slow to anger.
Righteous – You are always right. You teach the right way. If I will listen to the voice of You My God. Keeping all Your commandments which Moses/Jesus/You are commanding me today, and doing what is right in the sight of You My God.
Just – You punish the unrighteous, atone for sin, and reward the righteous who love You and listen to Your voice.
Loving – You love Israel and me. You give Your people what they need and care for them. You give me Your commandments and teach me Your ways.
Good – You give Your commandments and You discipline Your people for their higher good.
Wise –You do the things You do because You are wise. You give me important information about Yourself and Your heavenly throne. Your wisdom is higher than my wisdom. Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts.
Truthful - You always speak the truth. Your commandments are reality. Your Word is truth.
Faithful – You always do what You promise. You will do just as You swore to Israel’s fathers.
Wrathful - You will destroy all unrighteousness. You put to death that prophet or that dreamer of dreams because he has counseled rebellion against You My god, to seduce me and Israel from the way in which You My God commanded me to walk.
Jealous – You will not share Israel and me, who are rightly and morally Yours with any other creature. So I shall purge the evil from among me.
Incomprehensible – What does this say about You? What am I supposed to learn? How do I not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams? How do I know the difference? How do I put someone t death? How do I put someone in my own family to death? How do I purge the evil from among me? How do I say NO, I’m not going to do that? Why did I not do that today? Does that mean I don’t love You? Do I continually fail Your tests? How do I follow You My God and fear You; and how do I keep Your commandments, listen to Your voice, serve You and cling to You? How do I make You the leading force in My life? How do I not let nothing from that which is put under the ban cling to my hand? How do I listen to Your voice My LORD?
