Deuteronomy Chapter 2
Incomprehensible - The sons of Israel had to go around the land of Edom. How are they different from the Moabites? The Horites formerly lived in Seir, but the sons of Esau dispossessed them and destroyed them and settled in their place, just as Israel did to the land of their possession which You gave to them.
What are You doing? Why are You doing it? You give and You take away. Why were the sons of Ammon’s possession also regarded as the land of the Rephaim? Why is it important for me to know that Rephaim formerly ived in it, but the Ammonites ca them Zamzummin, a people as great, numerous, and tall as the Anakim? Why is it important You destroyed them before the sons of Ammon? You destroyed the Rephaim/Zamzummin for the sons of Ammon. You destroyed the Horites for the sons of Esau. The Amorites shall tremble and be in anguish because of the sons of Israel. ‘Send My terror ahead of you…’, ‘a great terror upon the cities which were around them’, ‘The peoples have heard, they tremble’, ‘Terror and dread fall upon them’, sound like demons. The demons also believe, and shudder. Matt 8:29; Mark 1:24; 5:7; Luke 4:34; Acts 19:15
