Numbers Chapter 19

Numbers Chapter 19

Omniscient – You know everything.  You know Moses and Aaron and Jesus and Gabriel.  You know Your people and You know Your angels.  You know what this chapter is about.  You know why I am to read it and study it.  You know what this means.  You know me.  You know my heart.  You are all-knowing.

Omnipotent- You can do anything.  You have Moses and Aaron speak to the sons of Israel.  You have Jesus and Gabriel speak to the angels.  Do the angels hear Your own voice or the voice of Jesus and Gabriel?  You give Your statute.  You put it into my heart.  You teach me.  You are all-powerful.

Omnipresent – You are everywhere.  You are in the tent of meeting.  You are in the midst of Israel.  You are in the midst of Your angels.  You are here with me.  You are in my heart.  You are all-present.

Eternal – You are the cause of time.  You are evening.  You are seven days.  You are the third day and the seventh day.  You are time.

Immutable – You do not change.  The law of uncleanness shall be a perpetual statute for Israel, the angels.  You will never be made to change.

Self – Existent – You exist by Yourself.  You will exist even when Your creation does not.  It is Your creation who needs You in order to exist.  You choose.  You decide.  You decide who lives and who dies.  You make up my existence and Eleazar the priest’s existence and each man’s existence.  You make Your laws existence.

Self-Sufficient – You do not need any of Your creation to bring about Your will or Your purpose.  You choose to use Eleazar the a priest, the one who burns the heifer, a man who is clean, the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer, the one who touches a corpse of any person and purifies himself, and an unclean man because it is Your good pleasure, not Your need, that governs Your choice.

Infinite – There are no limits or bounds to Your person or dominion. There are no limits to Your perpetual statutes.  You are without limits.

Transcendent – You are apart from Your creation.  You teach me about You.  The statute of the law is about an unblemished red heifer in which is no defect AND on which a yoke has never been places.  You explain what the Seraph is to do with it.  The one who burns it is different from the priest who was present.  The Seraph witness’s it.  This is very complicated.  I cannot visualize what is happening.  The one who touches the corpse of any person shall be unclean for seven days.  That one shall purify himself.  You give the law of one who dies in a tent.  Who is unclean?  The man who is unclean and does not purify himself from uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled Your sanctuary; the water for impurity has not be sprinkled on him, he is unclean.  These are laws of the unclean?  What is the difference between purify and cleanse?  These are the standards for the priests.

·       The blood of Christ, THE WORD OF GOD, cleanses my conscience from dead works to serve You, the living God, Jehovah My God.

Sovereign – It is You who speaks to Moses and Aaron.  You speak to Jesus and Gabriel.  It is You who gives Your statutes and Your laws.  It is You the sons of Israel worship.  It is You I worship.  You are in complete control and You are doing Your foreknown plan!

Holy – You are a morally excellent, perfect being.  You separate Eleazar the priest and all of ‘the one’ and ‘that one’ for Your purpose.

Gracious – You show Your angels Your favor and purifying men and cleansing a person.

Merciful – You show by cleansing a person and making him clean.

Righteous – You are always right and You teach the right way.  Your tabernacle and Your tent are the right way.

Longsuffering –You are patient with Your angels and slow to anger.

Just – You punish the unrighteous, atone sin, and reward the righteous.

Truthful – You always speak truth.  When one is clean and becomes unclean and becomes clean again is reality.

Faithful – You always do what You promise.  The man who is unclean and does not purify himself from uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled Your sanctuary; the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him, he is unclean.  The water for impurity is not water at all but just ash of a heifer.  You always do what You say.

Wrathful –You destroy all unrighteousness.  You cut off those who are unclean.

Jealous – You will not share the sons of Israel, Your angels, who are rightly and morally Yours with any other creature.

Loving – You love the sons of Israel, Your angels, and care for them.  You know what they need and You teach them about Yourself.

Good – You give Your creation a part of Yourself.  You give Your angels and Your humans what they need and take care of them.

Wise – Your wisdom causes You to do the things You do to give me information.  Your wisdom is higher than my wisdom and Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts.

Incomprehensible – What does purify mean?  How does on purify himself?  Purify is to make clean.

2 Kin 2:21; Ps 51:7; Titus 2:14; James 4:8; 1 Pet 1:22

·       Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean.  Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

o   How do I purify my heart?  Jer 4:`4; James 3:17; 1 John 3:3

·       But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy…And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.  This hope is that when He You appear, I shall be like Him You.  Because I shall see You just as You are.

·       What or who is the red heifer?  What is seven times?  You are a consuming fire.  Can a Seraph be unclean?  Who makes a Seraph clean?  Another Seraph perhaps? The Seraph only has to wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward come into the camp, but the Seraph shall be unclean until evening.

o   Ashes are the purification from sin?  Ashes of a red heifer unblemished with no defect, and on which a yoke has never been placed.

·       Heifer – Judg 14:18; Jer 46:20; Hos 4:16; Heb 9:13
