Omniscient – You know everything. You know what You are doing. You know what the Midianites will do. You know what the sons of Israel will do. You know that Moses was also among the Midianites and married a Midianite woman named Zipporah. You know Moses was a trained Egyptian and probably trained by Zipporah’s father, a Midianite priest, Jethro. Was Jethro Your priest or a a ball priest? Didn’t Moses listen to Jethro about not doing everything by himself? So when is it okay to listen and not okay? Why the change, what is the difference? You know me. You know my heart. You know how to teach me about Yourself. You are all-knowing.
Omnipotent- You can do anything. You can have Jesus or Moses take all the leaders of the people and execute them in broad daylight before You, if You just wanted to. You put it into one of the sons of Israel’s heart to com and bring to his relatives a Midianite woman. You showed Moses (Jesus) and all the congregation of the sons of Israel what You were talking about. You put it into Phinehas’ heart to know exactly what to do. You made the plague on the sons of Israel. You stopped the plague at Your command. You give Phinehas Your covenant of a perpetual priesthood. You give the names of the slain man and the slain woman. You are teaching me and giving me Your knowledge. You are all-powerful.
Omnipresent – You are everywhere. You are in Shittim. You are in the midst of the sons of Israel. You are at the doorway of the tent of meeting. You are in the midst of all the congregation of righteous angels and in the midst of unrighteous angels. You are here with me. Your are in my heart. You are all-present.
Eternal – You are the cause of time. You are 3,000 years ago. You are today and forever. You are time.
Immutable – You do not change. Israel (Your righteous angels) joined themselves to Baal of Peor, and You were angry against Israel. The fierce anger of You may be turned away from Israel (Your righteous angels). Moses (Jesus) said to the judges of Israel, “Each of you slay his men who have joined themselves to Baal of Peor.” The plague on the sons of Israel (Your righteous angels) was checked. You did not destroy the sons of Israel (Your righteous angels) in Your jealousy. You will never be made to change.
Self – Existent – You exist by Yourself. You exist by Yourself. You do not need any of Your creation in order to exist. You will exist even when Your creation does not. It is Your creation who need You for their own existence. You choose. You decide. You make up the slain man of the sons of Israel’s existence, Zimri and Cozi the slain woman. You make up my existence.
Self-Sufficient – You do not need any of Your creation to bring about Your will or Your purpose. You choose to use Baal of Peor. You choose to use the man of Israel and the Midianite woman. You choose to use Phinehas. You choose to use the Midianites. You choose to use Your creation because it is Your good pleasure, not Your need, that governs Your choice.
Infinite – There are no limits or bounds to Your person or dominion. There are no limits to Phinehas’ descendants after him. There are no limits to perpetual – a perpetual priesthood. You killed 24,000 sons of Israel and could have killed all of them. You are without limits.
Transcendent – You are apart from Your creation. You teach Your creation about Yourself. Israel plays the harlot. One of the sons of Israel came and brought to his relatives a Midianite woman. Phinehas killed them and turned away Your wrath. You make a covenant with Phinehas of a perpetual priesthood. The name of the slain man of Israel was Zimri the son of Salu and the slain woman was Cozbi the daughter of Zur. You tell Moses (Jesus) to be hostile to the Midianites and strike them.
Since You are Immutable, are the sons of Israel humans or angels? I am getting confused. Are humans worshiping angels? Well yes, but are angels worshiping angels? This would say yes also. Israel (the righteous angels) joined themselves to Baal of Peor. This would make Israel not righteous, so they are not righteous angels, they are Your chosen angels, a chosen family of angels. But they are Your angels. Since You are Immutable, did the angels also eat from Your tree of knowledge? But angels live forever, they can still eat from the tree of life. What if, Freewill without knowledge of good and evil? Satan is evil. He has Freewill. I am so confused. Aren’t angels immortal?
It doesn’t matter what goes in, it’s what goes out that does. Why am I thinking this way? Why does it matter that I know?
Dear Jehovah God, thank-You very much for Your rain. Thank-You for taking care of me. Thank-You for not making me walk in the rain, for giving me a close parking place, for having me not linger too long, and for not making me drive in the rain. You had it worked our perfectly my entire schedule today even right to this very moment. How do I change? How do I stop hurting You? How do I stand in the way? Through Jesus Christ’s name and through his ransom sacrifice. Amen.
Sovereign – You had Israel remain at Shittim. You made Baal of Peor. You lead Israel. You have one of the sons of Israel come and bring to his relatives a Midianite woman. You show them what is wrong with that, and he knows what to do. You reward Phinehas and You tell Moses to be hostile to the Midianites and strike them. You know they have been hostile to You and to Your people with their tricks. You see their tricks. You had the Midianites deceive Israel in the affair of Peor, and in the affair of Cozbi. You were using it as a teachable moment to teach about Your jealousy. You are in complete control and You are doing Your foreknown plan!
Holy – You are a morally excellent, perfect being. The sons of Israel are separated for Your purpose. Phinehas is separated for Your purpose. They are no longer separating themselves? A man marries a Midian, the child is only half Israelite, no longer Abraham’s see. The child marries a Midianite and the child is only ¼ Israelite? Or 1/3? Does blood mix to produce something totally different? Is Your code lost? What makes one holy?
Gracious – You show the sons of Israel Your favor by teaching them this important lesson. What is the lesson? The objective is how to teach me what makes You jealous? What is Your methodology? How are You teaching me what makes You jealous? By having Israel make You jealous for me to see what happens and how You react?
Merciful – You show Israel Your compassion by not killing all the leaders of the people, just 24,000 dies. You give Phinehas a perpetual priesthood for all of Israel.
Longsuffering – You are patient with the sons of Israel and slow to anger.
Just – You punish the guilty, atone sin, and reward the righteous. Those who died by the plague wee 24,000 and Phinehas was jealous with Your jealousy so You gave him Your covenant of peace.
Righteous – You are always right and You teach the right way. Phinehas stood in the way of Israel’s sin and Your jealousy.
Loving – You love the sons of Israel and take care of them. You lead them and instruct them.
Good – You give them everything they need and You love them to get jealous over them. You give Phinehas Your covenant of peace. You give Moses Your orders. You give Israel a part of Yourself.
Wise – Your wisdom causes You to do everything You do to give information about Yourself and instruction about Your ways. Your wisdom is higher than my wisdom. Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts.
Truthful – You always speak the truth. “Take all the leaders of the people and execute them in broad daylight before You, so that Your fierce anger may turn away from Israel.” Phinehas has turned away My wrath from the sons of Israel, in that he was jealous with Your jealousy among them, so that You did not destroy the sons of Israel in Your jealousy. You give Phinehas Your covenant of peace – a covenant of a perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his God, and made atonement for the sons of Israel. Be hostile to the Midianites and strike them. What You speak is reality.
Faithful – You always do what You promise. It shall be for Phinehas and his descendants after him, a covenant of a perpetual priesthood.
Wrathful – Israel joined themselves to Baal of Peor and You were angry against Israel. You tell Moses for him to execute all the leaders of the people and execute them in broad daylight. You tell Moses to be hostile to the Midianites and strike them. You destroy all unrighteousness.
Jealous – You will not share the sons of Israel who are rightly and morally Yours with any other creature. The Midianites have been hostile to Israel with their tricks, with which they have deceived Israel in the affair of Peor, and in the affair of Cozbi, the daughter of the leader of Midian, their sister who was slain on the day of the plague because of Peor.
Incomprehensible – How is Cozbi, the daughter of the leader of Midian a trick? How does that deceive Israel in the affair of Peor? Why is this different from Moses marrying Zipporah? Why did You strike Miriam with leprosy for asking the same question? Why do I not have leprosy? Maybe I do, do I? Maybe You are not angry with Miriam for asking that question but for questions Moses’ authority? Miriam seemed to be thinking on a higher level though. Why is it okay for Moses but not for the sons of Israel? Why does Moses not make You jealous? Today, are You jealous of people worshipping Your son Jesus? What does one standard, one statute mean? Do angels join themselves to other angels? Are angels that much like humans? How do I know?
How did the people play the harlot with the daughters of Moab? How is going to the sacrifices of their gods, and eating and bowing to their gods harlotry? A harlot is a prostitute. A prostitute is selling oneself. 1) to sell the services of (oneself or another) for purposed of sexual intercourse. 2) to sell (oneself, one’s artistic or moral integrity, etc) for low or unworthy purposes. What is Israel selling? What are they getting out of it?
Phinehas killed two people and saved all the leaders of the people – 12 men?
Ball of Peor is the god of Moab? Israel has forgotten You and is worshipping another. Phinehas was jealous with Your jealously. You were going to destroy the sons of Israel in Your jealousy, but he turned away Your wrath.
Your covenant with Phinehas is a perpetual priesthood. Why do You do that? What does this mean? Does that mean as of today and forever or just until he sinned? Does Jesus have the priesthood? Was Jesus one of His descendents? Jesus was not one of Phinehas’ descendents. He is a descendent of Levi and of Eleazar but from Matthan? Is Jesus a descendent of Levi?

Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High. Where is Salem? How is Melchizedek one of Your priests? Isn’t he from an unrighteous nation?
Israel shall be to You a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Anyone anywhere can be one of Your priests? They don’t HAVE to be from Phinehas’ descendents. My LORD, please forgive me but I don’t understand. …And for many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.
Jesus is a high priest in things pertaining to God… Why?
