Hosea 8:5

2/2/11

Dear Jehovah God,

For from Israel is even this!  A craftsman made it, so it is not God; surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to pieces.

The idol himself has rejected our calf, O Samaria, saying, “My anger burns against them!”  how long will we be incapable of innocence?  For from Israel is even this!  A craftsman made it, so it is not God; surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to pieces.

The inhabitants of Samaria will fear for the calf of Beth-aven.  Indeed, its people will mourn for it, and its idolatrous priests will cry out over it, over its glory, since it has departed from it.

Is this talking about Christianity?  Is it the calf of Samaria?  Surely Christianity will be broken to pieces.  How long will all religion including Christianity be incapable of innocence?  For from Christians is even this!  A craftsman made it, so it is not God; surely Christianity will be broken to pieces.

The inhabitants of Christianity will fear for the calf of Beth-aven.  Indeed Christians, its people will cry out over it, over its glory, since it has departed from it.

What is happening?  What am I supposed to do about it?  Nothing.  I am making it up.  Tear it out of my mind!  Kill my brain that I may hurt You no longer!  Amen, Amen, & Amen.
