Dear Jehovah God,
On the day of our king, the princes became sick with the heat of wine; He stretched out his hand with scoffers.
Woe to the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is at the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine!
And these also reel with wine and stagger from strong drink: The priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are confused by wine, they stagger from strong drink; they reel while having visions, they totter when rendering judgment.
On the day of our king, the princes became sick with the heat of wine; He stretched out his hand with scoffers.
And all the people know it, that is Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, asserting in pride and in arrogance of heart.
Therefore, hear the word of Jehovah, O scoffers, who rule this people who are in Jerusalem.
Hear the word of Jehovah, you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the instruction of our God, you people of Gomorrah.
And now do not carry on as scoffers, lest our fetters be made stronger; for I have heard from the Lord Jehovah of hosts, of decisive destruction on all the earth.
For the ruthless will come to an end, and the scorner will be finished, indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off.
May that not be me. Please do not let me be intent on doing evil. Let me not be ruthless or a scorner. Do not let me be overcome with wine! Do not let me reel with wine or stagger with strong drink. Do not let me be confused by wine nor stagger from strong drink, nor reel while having visions, nor totter when rendering judgment.
Do not let me assert in pride or in arrogance of heart. Do not let me be a scoffer. May that never be! Make me hear Your Word. Make me give ear to the instruction of You.
Help me to be strong and courageous, to go and act. You are Jehovah My God and I am Your servant. Amen, Amen, and Amen.
