Hosea 8:2

1/28/11

Dear Jehovah God,

They cry out to You, “My God, we of Israel know You!”

When You killed them, then they sought You, and returned and searched diligently for God.

So they came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against Jehovah and You; intercede with Jehovah, that He may remove the serpents from us.”  And Moses interceded for the people.

You will go away in return to Your place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek Your face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek You.

I cry out to You, “My God, I know You!”  I know some things about You.  You have not had to kill me for me to seek You, and I have returned and searched diligently for You.  Is that what I am doing and searching diligently for You?

I have sin, because I have spoken against You and Moses.  I intercede with You my God, that You may remove the serpents from us.  And I intercede for the people.

You have gone away and return to Your place until acknowledge my guilt and seek Your face; in my affliction I will earnestly seek You.

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

And they do not cry to You from the heart when they wail on their beds; for the sake of grain and new wine they assemble themselves, they turn away from You.

And I know we do not cry to You from our heart when they wail on her bed; for the sake of grain and new wine we assemble ourselves, we turn away You.

Please forgive us.  But I cried to You from my heart when I wail on my bed; for the sake of You Jehovah my God, I turned toward You.  I am here.

Because of the multitude of oppressions we cry out; we cry out for help because of the arm of the mighty.  No one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who give songs in the night, who teaches us more than the beast of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?’

Because of the multitude of oppressions I cry out; I cry for help because of the arm of the mighty.  I say, ‘Where are You God my Maker, who does give me songs in the night, who teaches me more than the beast of the earth, and makes me wiser than the birds of the heavens?’

You are here with me, in my heart and in my mind.  You are omnipresent.  You know I seek You earnestly.  I love You.  Amen, Amen, & Amen.
