Dear Jehovah God,
Though the pride of Israel testifies against Ephraim, yet they have neither returned to You their God, nor have they sought You, for all this.
Moreover, the pride of Israel testifies against him, and Israel and Ephraim stumble in their iniquity; Judah also has stumbled with them.

“‘You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore, I will give her cup into your hand.’ Thus, says the Lord Jehovah, ‘You will drink your sister’s cup, which is deep and wide. You (It will be for jesting and deriding because of its great size) You will be laughed at and held in derision; it contains much. You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, the cup of sorrow and desolation, the cup of your sister Samaria. And You will drink it and drain it. Then you will gnaw its fragments and tear your breasts; for I have spoken,’ declares the Lord Jehovah. Therefore, thus says the Lord Jehovah, ‘Because you have forgotten Me and cast Me behind your back, bear now the punishment of your lewdness and your harlotries.’”
Yet the people do not turn back to Him who struck them, nor do they seek Jehovah of hosts.
O Jehovah, do not Your eyes look for truth (faithfulness)? You have smitten the, but they did not weaken (become sick); You have consumed them, but they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to repent.
Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, yet they have neither returned o You their God, nor have they sought You, for all this.
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek Jehovah!
Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek Jehovah their God and David their King; and they will come trembling to Jehovah and to Your goodness in the last days. Amen, Amen, and Amen.
