Dear Jehovah God,
Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, yet they have neither returned to You their God, nor have they sought You, for all this!
They will come trembling like birds from Egypt, and like doves from the land of Assyria, and You will settle them in their houses.
Then it will happen on that day that the Lord will again recover the second time with His hand the remnant of His people, who will remain, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands (coastlands) of the sea.
Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like the doves to their lattices (dovecotes, windows)?
So Ephraim has become like a silly dove, without sense (heart); they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
When You gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall manifest Your holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will live in their land (ground) which You gave to Your servant Jacob. And they will live in it securely; and they will build houses, plant vineyards, and live securely, when You execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them. Then they will know that You are Jehovah their God.
Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure on their land. Then they will know that You are Jehovah, when You have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them from the hand of those who enslave them. And they will no longer be a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid.
I want to be gathered under Your wings. I want to be comforted and stroked and touched and loved. I want to be secure. I want to…
