Hosea 2:18-23 – resting places
Dear Jehovah God,
“’All the nations of the world will be blessed through your descendants—because you heeded My voice.’”
Hosea 2:18-23 – resting places
In this day You also make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds of the sky and the creeping things of the ground. And You abolish the bow, the sword and war from the land, and make them lie down in safely. You betroth us to You forever; yes, You betroth us to You in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in compassion, and You betroth us to You in faithfulness. Then we know You Jehovah.
It comes about in this day that You respond, Jehovah. You respond to the heavens, and they respond to the earth, and the earth responds to the rain, to the new wine and to the oil, and they respond to Jezreel. You sow her for Yourself in the land. You also have compassion on her who does not obtained compassion, and You say to those who were not Your people that we are Your people! And they will say that You are our God!
Job 5:23; Isaiah 11:6-9; Ezekiel 34:25 – beasts of the field
For we are in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field are at peace with us.
And the wolf dwells with the lamb, and the leopard lies down with the young goat, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little boy leads them. Also the cow and the bear graze, their young lie down together, and the lion eats straw like the ox. The nursing child plays by the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child put his hand on the viper’s den. They do not hurt or destroy in all Your holy mountain, for the earth is full of the knowledge of You Jehovah as the waters cover the sea.
You make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
Isaiah 2:4; Ezekiel 39:1-10 – abolish the bow
And You judge between the nations, and render decisions for many peoples; and they hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation does not lift up sword against nation, and never again do they learn war.
And we, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say that thus says You Lord God Jehovah to behold, You are against him, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal; and You turn him around, drive him on, take him up from the remotest parts of the north and bring him against the mountains of Israel. You strike his bow from his left hand and dash down his arrows from his right hand. He falls on the mountains of Israel, him and all his troops and the peoples who are with him; You give him as food to every kind of predatory bird and beast of the field. He falls on the open field; for it is You who speaks, Lord God Jehovah. And You send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they know that You are Jehovah.
Your holy name You make know in the midst of Your people Israel; and You do not let Your holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations know that You are Jehovah, the Holy One in Isreal. Behold, it is coming and it is done, Lord God Jehovah. That is the day of which You speak.
Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel go out and make fires with the weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for seven years they make fires of them. They do not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, for they make fires with the weapons; and they take the spoil of those who despoiled them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them, Lord God Jehovah.
Leviticus 26:5; Jeremiah 23:6; Ezekiel 34:25 – lie down in safety
Indeed, our threshing lasts for us until grape gathering, and grape gathering lasts until sowing time. We thus eat our food to the full and live securely in our land.
In His days Judah is saved, and Israel dwells securely; and this is His name by which His is called that Jehovah our righteousness.
You make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
Isaiah 62:4, 5 – betroth
It is no longer said to us that forsaken, nor to our land is it any longer said that desolate; but we are called that Your delight is in her, and our land that married; for You Jehovah delights in us, and to You our land is married. For as a young man marries a virgin, so our sons marry us; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so our God rejoices over us.
Isaiah 1:27; 54:6-8 – righteousness
Zion is redeemed with justice and her repentant ones with righteousness.
For You Jehovah call us, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected, our God. For a brief moment You forsake us, but with great compassion You gather us. In an outburst of anger You hide Your face from us for a moment, but with everlasting lovingkindness You have compassion on us, Jehovah our Redeemer.
Jeremiah 31:33, 34; Hosea 6:6; 13:4 – know Jehovah
But this is the covenant which You make with the house of Israel after those days, Jehovah, You put Your law within them and on their heart You write it; and You are their God, and they are Your people. They do not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying to know You Jehovah, for they all know You, from the least of them to the greatest of them, Jehovah, for You forgive their iniquity, and their sin You remember no more.
For You delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, and in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
Yet You are Jehovah our God since the land of Egypt; and we are not to know any god except You, for there is no savior besides You.
Isaiah 55:10; Zechariah 8:12; Malachi 3:10, 11 – I will respond
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
For there is peace for the seed: the vine yields its fruit, the land yields its produce and the heavens give their dew; and You cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in Your house, and test You now in this, Jehovah of hosts, if You do not open for us the windows of heaven and pour out for us a blessing until it overflows. Then You rebuke the devourer for us, so that it does not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor our vine in the field casts its grapes, Jehovah of hosts.
Jeremiah 31:12; Joel 2:19 – earth will respond
They come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, and they are radiant over the bounty of You Jehovah – over the grain and the new wine and the oil, and over the young of the flock and the herd; and their life is like a watered garden, and they never languish again.
You Jehovah answer and say to Your people to behold, You are going to send us grain, new wine and oil, and we are satisfied in full with them; and You never again make us a reproach among the nations.
Jeremiah 31:27 – sow her
Behold, days are coming, Jehovah, when You sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.
Hosea 1:6 – I will also
Then she conceives again and gives birth to a daughter. And You Jehovah say to him to name her Lo-ruhamah, for You no longer have compassion on the house of Israel, that You ever forgive them.
Romans 9:25; 1 Peter 2:10 – I will say
As He says also in Hosea that You call those who are not Your people, Your people, and her who is not beloved, beloved.
For we once are not a people, but now we are the people of God; we have not received mercy, but now we receive mercy.
Hosea 1:9 – not My people
And You Jehovah say to name him Lo-ammi, for we are not Your people and You are not our God.
Intention of this prayer: beasts of the field, abolish the bow, lie down in safety, betroth, and righteousness. Also, know Jehovah, I will respond, earth will respond, sow her, I will also, I will say, and not My people.
In this day You also make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds of the sky and the creeping things of the ground. And You abolish the bow, the sword and war from the land, and make them lie down in safely. For YFA are in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field are at peace with YFA. And the wolf dwells with the lamb, and the leopard lies down with the young goat, and the calf and the young lion feed together; and a little boy leads them. Also the cow and the bear graze, their young lie down together, and the lion eats straw like the ox. And You judge between the nations, and reprove many peoples; and they hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation does not lift sword against nation, and never again do they learn war.
And YFA, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say that thus says You Lord God Jehovah to behold, You are against him, O Gog, chief princes of Meshech and Tubal; and You turn him around, drive him on, take him up from the remotest parts of the north and bring him against the mountains of Israel, both humans and angels. You strike his bow from his left hand and dash down his arrows from his right hand. He falls on the mountains of Israel, both humans and angels, him and all his troops and the peoples who are with him; You give him as food to every wing of predatory bird and beast of the field. He falls on the face of the field; for it is You who speaks, Lord God Jehovah. And You send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they know that You are Jehovah.
Your holy name You make know amid Your people Israel, both humans and angels; and You do not let Your holy name profaned anymore. And the nations know that You are Jehovah, the Holy One in Isreal, both humans and angels. Behold, it is coming and it is done, Lord God Jehovah. That is the day of which You speak.

Indeed, YFA threshing lasts for YFA until grape gathering, and grape gathering lasts until sowing time. YFA thus eat YFA’ bread to the full and live securely in YFA’ land. In YWYS’ days Judah, Your Remnant, saved, and Israel, both humans and angels, dwells securely; and this is His name by which His called that Jehovah YFA’ righteousness. You make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
It is no longer said to YFA that forsaken, i.e. Azubah, nor to YFA’ land is it any longer said that desolate, i.e. Shemamiah; but YFA called that Your delight is in her, i.e. Hephzibah, and YFA’ land that married, i.e. Beulah; for You Jehovah delights in YFA, and YFA’ land is married. For as a young man marries a virgin, YFA’ sons marry YFA; and the exultation of the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, YFA’ God rejoices over YFA.
Zion redeemed with justice and her returnees with righteousness. For You Jehovah call YFA, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even like a wife of youth when she rejected, YFA’ God. In a moment You forsake YFA, but with great compassion You gather YFA. In an overflowing anger You hide Your face from YFA for a moment, but with everlasting lovingkindness You have compassion on YFA, Jehovah YFA’ Redeemer.
But this is the covenant which You make with the house of Israel, both humans and angels, after those days, Jehovah, You put Your law within them and on their heart, You write it; and You are their God, and they are Your people. Then You rebuke the devourer for YFA, so that it does not ruin the fruits of the ground; nor YFA’ vine in the field casts, Jehovah of hosts.
They come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, and they are radiant over the goodness of You Jehovah – over the grain and the new wine and the oil, and over the young of the flock and the herd; and their life is like a watered garden, and they never languish again. As He says also in Hosea that You call those who are not Your people, Your people, and her who is not beloved, beloved. For YFA once are not a people, but now YFA are the people of You God Jehovah; YFA have not received mercy, but now YFA receive mercy.
And You Jehovah say to name him Lo-ammi, i.e. not my people, for YFA are not Your people and You are not YFA’ God.
You are Omnipotent. You, Jehovah, give the horse his might. You clothe his neck with a man. You make him leap like the locust. His majestic snorting is terrible. He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; he laughs at fear and is not dismayed; and he does not turn back from the sword. The quiver rattles against him, the flashing spear and javelin. With shaking and rage he races over the ground, and he does not stand still at the voice of the trumpet. As often as the trumpet sounds he says, “Aha! And he scents the battle from afar, and the thunder of the captains and the war cry. I know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted. By the WORD of Your Jehovah the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear You Jehovah; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of You. You, Jehovah God, possess all power.
You are Righteous. The Rock! Your work is perfect, for all Your was are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright are You. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth. You Jehovah God are always good. You are always right. It is Your Way!
You are Jehovah God, Jehovah the One and Only!
