Dear Jehovah God,

“God, the God of heaven, who took me away from my father’s house in Charan, and from the land of my family, Ur of the Chaldeans, spoke concerning me—and even swore to me—saying, ‘To your offspring will I give this land,’ will send His angel ahead of you to orchestrate events to your advantage. With His help, you will take a wife for my son from there.”

Isaiah 17:13 – lifting up of Yourself

The nations rumble on like the rumbling of many waters, but You rebuke them and they flee far away, and are chased like chaff in the mountains before the wind, or like whirling dust before a gale.

Isaiah 33:3 – nations rumble on

At the sound of the tumult peoples flee; at the lifting up of Yourself nations disperse.

Psalm 9:5; Isaiah 41:11 – rebuke them

You rebuke the nations, You destroy the wicked; You blot out their name forever and ever.

By this I know that You are pleased with me, because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.

Job 21:18; Psalm 1:4; 83:13; Isaiah 29:5; 41:15, 16 – like chaff

Are they as straw before the wind, and like chaff which the storm carries away?

The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff which the wind drives away.

O my God, make them like the whirling dust, like chaff before the wind.

But the multitude of our enemies become like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like the chaff which blows away; and it happens instantly, suddenly.

Behold, You make us a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges; we thresh the mountains and pulverize them, and make the hills like chaff. We winnow them, and the wind carries them away, and the storm scatters them; but we rejoice in You Jehovah, we glory in the Holy One of Israel.

Intention of this prayer: nations rumble on, rebuke them, and like chaff.

The nations rumble on like the rumbling of many waters, but You rebuke them and they flee far away, and are chased like chaff in the mountains before the wind, or like whirling dust before a gale. At the sound of the tumult peoples flee; at the lifting up of Yourself nations disperse.

You rebuke the nations, You destroy the wicked; You blot out their name forever and ever. By this YWYS knows that You are pleased with Him, because His enemy does not shout in triumph over Him.

Are they as straw before the wind, and like chaff which the storm carries away? The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff which the wind drives away.     O YWYS’ God, make them like the tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind. But the multitude of YFA’ strangers become like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like the chaff which passes away; and it happens instantly, suddenly. Behold, You make YFA a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges; YFA thresh the mountains and pulverize, and make the hills like chaff. YFA winnow them, and the wind carries them away, and the storm scatters them; but YFA rejoice in You Jehovah, YFA glory in the Holy One of Israel, of both humans and angels.

You are Sovereign. You Jehovah establish Your throne in the heavens, and Your sovereignty rules over all. I raise my eyes toward heaven and my reason returns to me, and I bless the Most High and praise and honor You who lives forever; for Your dominion is an everlasting dominion, and Your kingdom endures from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, but You do according to your will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth; and no one can ward off Your hand or say to You, “What have You done?” You it is who reduces rulers to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth meaningless. Remember this, and be assured; recall it to mind, we transgressors. Remember the former things long past, for You are God Jehovah, and there is no other; You are God, and there is no one like You, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done. Your purpose will be established, and You will accomplish all Your good pleasure; calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of Your purpose from a far country. Truly You have spoken; truly You will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely You will do it. You Jehovah God are totally, supremely, and preeminently over all Your creation.

You are Faithful. I know therefore that You Jehovah my God, You are God, the faithful God, who keeps Your covenant and Your lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love You and keep Your commandments. If we are faithless, You remain faithful, for You cannot deny Yourself. You. Jehovah God. are always true to Your promises.

You are Jehovah God, Jehovah the One and Only!

שמע ישראל יהוה אלהנו יהוה אחד:

אמו.                                                                                      Amen, Amen, & Amen.
