Dear Jehovah God,
לאעַל־כֵּ֗ן קָרָ֛א לַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע כִּ֛י שָׁ֥ם נִשְׁבְּע֖וּ שְׁנֵיהֶֽם:
Therefore, he named that place Beer sheba, for there they both swore.
Isaiah 44:3– Spirit is poured out
For You pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; You pour out Your Spirit on our offspring and Your blessing on our descendants.
Isaiah 41:17; Ezekiel 34:26; Joel 3:18 – I will pour out
The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst; You, Jehovah, answer them Yourself, as the God of Israel You do not forsake them.
You make them and the places around Your hill a blessing. And You cause showers to come down in their season; they are showers of blessing.
And in this day the mountains drip with sweet wine, and the hills flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah flow with water; and a spring goes out from the house of You Jehovah to water the valley of Shittim.
Isaiah 32:15; Joel 2:28 – pour out
Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field is considered as a forest.
It comes about after this that You pour out Your Spirit on all mankind; and our sons and daughters prophesy, our old men dream dreams, our young men see visions.
Isaiah 61:9; 65:23 – offspring
Then their offspring is known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them recognize them because they are the offspring whom You Jehovah bless.
They do not labor in vain, or bear children for calamity; for they are the offspring of those blessed by You Jehovah, and their descendants with them.
Intention of this prayer: I will pour out, pour out, and offspring.
For You pour out water on him who is thirsty and streams on the dry ground; You pour out Your Spirit on YFA’ offspring and Your blessing on YFA’ descendants.The poor and needy are seeking water, but there is none, and their tongue parched with thirst; You, Jehovah, answer them Yourself, the God of Israel, both humans and angels, You do not forsake them. You make them and the places around Your hill a blessing. And You cause showers to come down in their season; they are showers of blessing. And in this day the mountains drip with freshly pressed out grape juice, and the hills flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah, Your Remnant, flow with water; and a spring goes out from the house of You Jehovah to water the valley of acacias.
Until the Spirit pours out upon YFA from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field considered as a forest. It comes about after this that You pour out Your Spirit on all flesh; and YFA’ sons and daughters prophesy, YFA’ old men dream dreams, YFA’ young men see visions.
Then their offspring is known among the nations, and their descendants amid the peoples. All who see them recognize them because they are the offspring You Jehovah bless. They do not labor in vain, or bear for calamity; for they are the seed of those blessed by You Jehovah, and their descendants with them.
You are Eternal. The Rock! Your work is perfect, for all Your ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright are You. You are the Alpha and the Omega, Lord Jehovah God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. You are the high and exalted One who lives forever, whose name is Holy. You dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. You, Jehovah God, have no beginning and You have no end. You are not confined to the finiteness of time or to man’s reckoning of time. You are, in fact, the cause of time.
You are Longsuffering. You Jehovah are slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but You will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generations. The Lord, YWYS, is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward us, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. You, Jehovah God, are patient. Your righteous anger is slow to be kindled against those who fail to listen to Your warnings or obey Your instructions. Your eternal longing for the highest good for Your creation holds back Your justice.
You are Jehovah God, Jehovah the One and Only!
